re:curse 1.1.0 update released!


A new version of re:curse has been released. This update squashes some bugs and polishes a few areas where I received feedback from players. 

Changelog:

  • Added a missing line to turn off the drone triggered by door puzzle scare rooms.
  • Fixed broken loop points on two music tracks.
  • Removed a softlock condition where you could trap yourself behind a bookshelf after it resets.
  • Fixed typos.
  • Added handling for red herrings.
  • Added additional working inputs for "cheater's code."
  • Made "cheater's code" findable without datamining.
  • Added additional context to .readme files. 
  • Added "lullaby for dataminers."
  • Added an empty house.


A few things I'm aware of, but didn't address in this patch:

  • Run button: I actually was not aware that RPGmaker sets up a default run button until I saw someone use it in a playthrough. Using the run button in the chase room breaks the balance a bit, but I've decided to leave it in, just in case someone needs an "assist mode" for that room.
  • Broken audio when game window is inactive: I've noticed in a few folks' recordings that if you click off of the game window in windowed mode, overall game execution will pause, but audio will keep running, which can create some unexpected behavior (visuals not lining up, an audio trigger running twice, etc). I'll continue to look into this and see what I can do here.
